West Riverfront
Damage to the riverfront from the heavy machinery has been repaired.
Grass seed has been spread and covered with straw.

Restoration of the east riverfront. Soon the riverfront will be green.

The Restored Dock Is Next

The dock has four sections. The first two are very heavy and don't float.
The next two sections do float. These two sections must be attached with a hung.

Numerous repairs have been made and the dock was painted.
Hand holds and cleats were installed.
Adapters for solar lights were installed. 16 solar lights will be installed.

Soon the dock will be moved to the river.

REMOVING THE EQUIPMENT

The placing of the stones is completed. The next task is to clean the area.
Triple D's cleaning of the job site is impressive.

Removing the planks that supported the excavator on the mud.

The excavator is removing the planks

The planks are washed in the river before putting them on a
front end loader to be hauled away for another job.

The heavy steel plates that were placed on the ramp to protect
it from damage by the large rocks are being removed.
A steel plate is carefully positioned on a large flatbed trailer.

The front end loader is removing as much mud as possible from the ramp.
Kayakers will especially appreciate this.

The excavator is washing the stones to reveal their white brilliance.
Notice the excavator is far the water to cover the Caterpillar tracks.

Even the ramp is being washed.

Lastly, the excavator washes it own caterpillar tracks. Very cool!

The Excavators job is done. It is waiting to be moved to the next job.

The berm is too soft from the rain for heavy equipment to navagator the berm.
Restoration will take place after the berm is dry enough to support the heavy equipment.

The dock has been disassembled into three sections for repair.
Numerous safety components will be adjusted or repaired.

The dock is also being painted. The color is the same as the Villas' doors.
Black will be used for accent color on components including the dock lights.

More logs and brush has been added upstream
of the lime stone project to deter erosion.

The project upstream of the boar ramp is near completion.
It really looks good. It will even be better when the grass is growing.

More Large Rocks

Fallen and dead trees including branches and brush are tucked
up against the berm it deter erosion upstream of the rocks.

About 30 feet of the 200 foot plan has been installed.
A floating yellow barrier is in place to keep debris from the river.

Heavy black fabric is placed under the rocks to help hold
them in place and prevent erosion under the rocks.

Some rocks are more than 3 feet in size.

Rocks are being delivered. The riverbank is being prepared.

Here is the status of the work.

A large dump truck has arrived with the first load of rocks.

The boat ramp berm erosion prevention program has started.
When finished 100 feet on both sides of the ramp will be
protected from erosion with a limestone barrier.

Orange safety fences have been placed along the
riverfront on both sides of the boat ramp.
